Below are the suggested sequence of courses, the timeline or number of semesters, and the total credit hours you need to earn a particular degree or certificate. If you see a double asterisk (**) that means there is a credential or certificate you could earn!  Some programs may require additional courses if you need extra time or support to gain the skills needed to be successful.

Advanced Manufacturing

Love building, fixing, and improving how things work? Advanced Manufacturing is where engineering, robotics, automation, and quality come together to create the products we rely on every day - smarter, safer, and faster. Explore hands‑on pathways at SCC through Engineering, Manufacturing, Machining, Mechatronics/Robotics, and Industrial Trades. 

Agriculture

If you’re interested in food systems, animal care, agribusiness, or agricultural technology, Agriculture connects science and innovation to the way we feed and sustain communities. At SCC, you can start with Agriculture degrees and areas of study that prepare you for modern, tech‑driven careers and transfer pathways.             

Arts, Entertainment, & Design

Turn creativity into a career whether you’re drawn to design, digital arts, performance, media, or sound and lighting. SCC helps you build real skills and a strong portfolio through programs like Graphic Design, Music, Theatre, and Studio Art. 

Construction

Want a career that you can see and touch? Construction includes skilled trades, equipment operations, and the planning and design behind buildings and infrastructure. SCC offers career‑focused options such as HVAC, Plumbing, Electrician, Facilities Maintenance, and Welding to help you build your future - literally. 

Digital Technology

Every industry needs tech talent. Digital Technology covers cybersecurity, IT support, software, web & cloud, and data/AI skills that travel with you into almost any field. At SCC, you can launch or level up through Information Technology, Multimedia & Web Development, Graphic Design, & Computer Science. 

Education

If you want to make a difference every day, Education is about supporting learners, building community, and leading learning experiences - from early childhood to secondary classrooms. SCC offers transfer‑ready pathways like Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Secondary Education with distinct areas of study to start your teaching journey. 

Energy & Natural Resources

Interested in clean energy, conservation, utilities, environmental protection, or how we manage resources responsibly? This cluster blends science, technology, and sustainability to power communities and protect the environment. At SCC, students often begin through strong STEM pathways like Chemistry, Biology, and related science programs, building a foundation for energy and environmental careers. 

Financial Services

If you like problem‑solving with numbers and strategy, Financial Services includes accounting, banking, investments, insurance, and real estate-the systems that help people and businesses plan and grow. SCC supports these pathways through Business Administration areas of study. 

Healthcare & Human Services

Healthcare & Human Services is for students who want to help people live healthier lives through direct patient care, behavioral health, community services, health data, and research. SCC offers in‑demand programs like Nursing, Practical Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Surgical Technology, Biotechnology, Exercise Science, Medical Assisting, and Medical Billing & Coding to prepare you for meaningful, high‑impact work.

Hospitality, Events, & Tourism

If you thrive in fast‑paced, people‑focused environments, this cluster is about creating experiences from culinary and baking to events and travel. SCC’s Culinary program help you build professional skills that translate into careers in restaurants, catering, event spaces, and beyond. 

Management & Entrepreneurship

Want to lead, launch a business, or run operations? Management & Entrepreneurship builds skills in leadership, project management, business operations, and small business innovation-useful in every industry. At SCC, students develop these strengths through Business Administration areas of study and Entrepreneurship‑related coursework and credentials.

Marketing & Sales

Marketing & Sales is about connecting people to products, services, and solutions through branding, advertising, research, customer experience, and strategic selling. SCC prepares students for this work through Business Administration areas of study that build communication and data‑informed decision skills. 

Public Service & Safety

If your goal is to protect and serve, this cluster includes emergency response, public safety, judicial systems, and public services that keep communities running. SCC supports these careers with programs like Law Enforcement and Emergency Medical Science - ideal for students who want action‑oriented, mission‑driven work. 

Supply Chain & Transportation

From ordering and warehousing to shipping and logistics planning, Supply Chain & Transportation is the backbone of how goods move through the world - by air, ground, rail, and more. At SCC, students can prepare for these careers through Supply Chain and Logistics and related workforce programs that focus on efficiency, systems, and real‑world operations.
