Basic Arabic language skills includes speaking, listening comprehension, reading and writing, with emphasis on effective linguistic functioning in real situations. Explores cultures of Arabic-speaking countries.

CLO 2) Students will recall basic facts about the Arabic language and the Arabic-speaking world.
CLO 3) Students will compute simple Arabic words by combining letters and vowels.
CLO 4) Students will produce Arabic script to represent names, numbers (0-10), and short phrases.
CLO 5) Students will describe aspects of Arab culture using content from Arabic-language media and websites.
CLO 6) Students will perform a short spoken introduction about oneself in Arabic, including basic personal information.
