Introduction to the basic study, use, and control of the art elements and principles that govern three-dimensional design and structure through assigned problems using readings, discussion and exercises designed to employ of a variety of concepts, materials and tools specific to the construction of three-dimensional art making.

CLO 2) Students will build the vocabulary associated with the development and understanding of three-dimensional design and art making skills that can serve as a foundation for further art study.
CLO 3) Students will apply visual literacy skills and understanding of craftsmanship, composition and content in the work they create.
CLO 4) Students will analyze and describe design issues in oral presentations, class discussions and critiques.
CLO 5) Students will discuss 3-dimensional concepts and materials in the work of professional artists and designers through instructor presentations and their own research.
