ART 2551 - Jewelry for Non-Art Majors 3 Credit(s)
An introduction to the basic essentials of making jewelry in an art studio environment. Students will become familiar with the materials and techniques used in making jewelry. This course will not fulfill the requirements for a major in art.

CLO 2) Students will build an awareness of design concepts and how to manipulate them.
CLO 3) Students will build a skill-set of surface and textural treatments and finishes.
CLO 4) Students will apply basic jewelry soldering skills and bezel making for stone setting.
CLO 5) Students will apply critical evaluation skills using art and design vocabulary.
CLO 6) Students will apply safe working practices and maintain a shared studio space.
