An introduction to the fundamental concepts of Fiber and Textile based art in a studio environment. Students will become familiar with the materials and techniques used in Fibers. This course will not fulfill the requirements for a major in art.

CLO 2) Students will describe textiles in historical and contemporary contexts.
CLO 3) Students will build a fiber structure with various materials.
CLO 4) Students will express and convey ideas using the fiber medium.
CLO 5) Students will build their awareness of and concern for craftsmanship and present artwork professionally.
CLO 6) Students will explain and describe a variety of qualities in their artwork and the art of others during a critique session.
