ART 2950 - Visual Arts Studio Internship 1-3 Credit(s)
On-the-job experience in visual arts. Students may apply for an internship with artists or art-related businesses to enhance career readiness. Visual arts studio internships must be approved and sponsored by a faculty advisor.
Prereqs: Instructor permisison Course Type: Practicum Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply techniques, processes, and technologies of the visual arts in the creation of original work.
CLO 2) Students will evaluate and discuss contemporary visual art within historical and cultural contexts.
CLO 3) Students will explore career opportunities and apply relevant business practices in the visual arts.
CLO 4) Students will demonstrate professional skills including organization, communication, and problem solving in real-world settings.
CLO 5) Students will develop personal artistic direction and creative independence through self-reflection and mentorship.
CLO 6) Students will collaborate effectively, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and understanding of diverse workplace perspectives.
