ART 2855 - Special Topics in Photography 3 Credit(s)
Variable content covering in-depth advanced topics in technique and subject matter not covered in regular curriculum. Topics vary and may include subjects such as portrait photography and lighting, location photography: landscape and architecture, non-silver photographic processes, working with color positives, etc. Class may be repeated for credit up to three times if different topic is studied.
Prereqs: ART 2830 with a passing grade or instructor permission Course Type: Studio/Performance Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will construct their own assignments in concert with their instructor.
CLO 2) Students will further build their versatility with materials and ideas through the practice of working with traditional or non-traditional lens-based and photographic mediums as they explore personal vision.
CLO 3) Students will create a unique body of work.
CLO 4) Students will apply critical evaluation skills using photographic as well as art and design vocabulary.
CLO 5) Students will apply safe working practices and maintain a shared studio space. Students in the Advanced class will be expected to act as leaders in the class with behavior for other students to look to as a model.
CLO 6) Students will demonstrate the ability to present artwork professionally.
