ART 2870 - Event Photography 3 Credit(s)
Students learn to use their technical expertise, creativity and composition skills to produce and preserve images that visually tell a story or record an event. Phtographic techniques and location considerations are discussed as well as the business practices essential to be successful in the profession. Cost of course supplies may exceed $200.
Prereqs: ART 2810 with a grade of C or better Course Type: Studio/Performance Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will learn to assess and strategize for different events and specific locations.
CLO 2) Students will develop an awareness of the basic mechanics of lighting and supplementation.
CLO 3) Students will create professional portfolio images as well as other professional documents.
CLO 4) Students will discuss professional business practices of photographers.
CLO 5) Students will produce a professional portfolio of images reflecting the photographic events & locations experienced in the course.
