ART 1405 - Drawing II 3 Credit(s)
This course is a continuation of ART 1400 with a reassessment of various techniques and drawing exercises. This includes an emphasis on color and the use of a variety of media, subject matter, and the development of individual expression.
Prereqs: ART 1400 with a grade of C or better Course Type: Studio/Performance Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will extend their knowledge and use of traditional drawing techniques which include composition, space, value, and line.
CLO 2) Students will expand their skills through experimentation with color and scale in their work.
CLO 3) Students will create drawings using a variety of traditional drawing materials such as different toned papers, graphite, charcoal, and soft pastel.
CLO 4) Students will continue to discover and discriminate between important artists and artistic styles found in art from around the world.
CLO 5) Students will demonstrate the ability to present artwork professionally.
CLO 6) Students will advance their ability to ascertain and describe a variety of qualities in drawings using art terminology during critique sessions.
