BIO 150 - General Biology: Cells to Organisms

Provides undergraduate science majors with an understanding and appreciation of the major concepts, processes and theories of biology at the molecular to organismal level.? Topics such as chemistry of life, cell structure, metabolism, genetics, and physiological processes and are covered in both lecture and lab format. Students will learn the process of science in a course-based research project and will explore biological issues of public concern.

Course Learning Outcomes:
CLO 1) Students will explain and apply the process of science and the scientific method, including testing hypotheses by designing and conducting experiments.
CLO 2) Students will evaluate and interpret quantitative data and graphical representations of biological information.
CLO 3) Students will apply modeling and simulation to study biological systems.
