Topics include descriptive statistics, sampling techniques, counting techniques, probability, probability distributions, confidence interval estimates, hypothesis testing, simple linear regression, and one-way ANOVA.
Prereqs: MAT 158 with a grade of C or better or placement into MAT 175 Course Type: Combo Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Online, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will analyze graphs representing data.
CLO 2) Students will calculate descriptive statistics and probabilities including using the Binomial and Normal distributions.
CLO 3) Students will create confidence intervals for means, proportions, and variances.
CLO 4) Students will perform hypotheses tests including thee chi-square test for variance and one-way ANOVA.
CLO 5) Students will perform a linear regression.
CLO 6) Students will use technology to perform statistical analysis and assist in decision-making.
