Large Ensemble
Choose 3 courses from the following: 3 semesters of the same ensemble is highly recommended but may be earned with a combination of ensemble credits Private Lessons
(2 credits each semester in primary instrument) Private Lessons - 4 or 8 total credits of Applied Music Lessons (4 semesters of 2 credits each in your primary instrument is highly recommended but may be earned with a combination of the 1 or 2 credit lessons in more than one area. Students following the Music Education Pathway should take 4 semesters of 1 credit lessons - MVV Applied Voice
- MVK Applied Piano or Organ
- MVG Applied Guitar, Bass Guitar, or Jazz Guitar
- MVP Applied Percussion
- MVS Applied Strings
- MVW Applied Woodwinds
- MVB Applied Brass
Music Elective Requirements:
Choose 6-10 credits total of any combination of courses taken from this list, the ensemble list, the private lesson list, or approved by the Music Department Chair. Students following the Music Education pathway will be encouraged to take classes from the list of electives that best allow for transfer into a four-year Music Education program. Total Required hours: 61 credits
