Programs

Associate of Arts in Teaching

The Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) is awarded to students completing the requirements of the academic transfer program for future educators. These areas of study have a minimum of 62-hours that include a general education core and elective/institutional requirements. It generally parallels the first two years of a Bachelor of Arts degree at a four-year institution.

Associate of Science

The Associate of Science (AS) is awarded to students completing the requirements of a specifically identified academic program available within this degree. Minimum credit hours required varies based on the specific program. It generally parallels the first two years of a Bachelor of Arts degree or a Bachelor of Science degree at a four year institution.

Associate of Applied Science

The Associates of Applied Science degree (AAS) is awarded to students apon completing the requirements in a program designed for professionals. These degrees are designed to prepare students for a specific profession or career. Minimum credit hours required varies based on the specific program. Although this degree is not intended to be a transfer degree, some of the courses will transfer to four-year institutions.

Certificate of Achievement

Certificates of Achievement (CA) are awarded upon completion of a prescribed sequence of courses for each program. Normally, two semesters are necessary to complete the requirements for a one-year certificate.
