ECI 299 - Special Topics in Academic English 3 Credit(s)
Focuses on practice of all four English Language skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking in a specific area, such as business, culinary skills, translation, education, etc. Emphasis on application of English skills in mock real-life situations that students may encounter in chosen field. Critical thinking and cultural differences will also be addressed. May be paired with a vocabulary class that addresses special topics as well. Recommended to be taken with ESL 113 , depending on topics.
Prerequisite(s): ESL instructor or department chair permission
