This course satisfies the general education requiremnt for the AA degree. Topics include: inductive and deductive reasoning, set theory, Venn diagrams, truth tables and logic, Geometry and Trigonnometry, sequences and series, mathematics of finance, probability, statistics, and applications. Prerequisite(s): MAT 121 with a grade of C or better or placement into MAT 155. MAT 097 or MAT 098 with a grade of A. Students with a grade of “B” or “C” in MAT 097 or MAT 098, or placement into MAT 121, may enroll in MAT 155 with the corresponding supplemental course of MAT 055 with the same instructor.
