This course satisfies the general education requiremnt for the AA degree. Topics include: inductive and deductive reasoning, set theory, Venn diagrams, truth tables and logic, Geometry and Trigonnometry, sequences and series, mathematics of finance, probability, statistics, and applications. Requirements before: MAT 121 with a grade of C or better or placement into MAT 155. MAT 097 or MAT 098 or MAT 105 with a grade of A. Students with a grade of “B” or “C” in MAT 097 or MAT 098 or MAT 105 or placement into MAT 121 , may enroll in MAT 155 with the corresponding supplemental course of MAT 055 with the same instructor.
