The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Surgical Technology prepares entry-level surgical technologists who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform tasks and ensure a safe surgical environment while supporting the efficiency of an operating team. Program courses include classroom instruction, lab practice, and clinical experiences. The AAS in Surgical Technology program prepares students to sit for the Certified Surgical Technology (CST) Examination.
