The Associate of Arts degree is awarded to students completing the requirements of the academic transfer program with a minimum of 64 semester hours including 45 hours of general education courses. This is the degree that would be most appropriate for the majority of transfer students because it parallels the work done in the first two years of a Bachelor of Arts degree at a four-year institution.

Here are a list of suggested course sequences for students who are persuing a particular area of study at a four-year institutuion. Some courses can be substituted to better suit your preferences, transfer plans, or schedule. Some programs may require additional courses if you need extra time or support to gain the skills needed to be successful.

Mathematical sciences courses that use one of the pathway courses as a prerequisite will meet the general education credit for math. For example, Calculus meets the General Education Math requirement since Pre-Calculus Algebra is a prerequisite.

Courses higher than MAT 171 will be granted three credit hours towards the CORE 42.

Electives include courses at the 100 or 200 level excluding courses from the following departments: NUR, NPN, and HIM (except HIM 110 ).

A Physical Education (PHE) course may only count twice towards graduation.
