GDS 270 - Video Production 3 Credit(s)
Course will focus on video art as an expressive media. Students will learn the basics of video production/post production through completion of finished projects that may include music videos, interview/maker videos, commercials, how to videos, comedy shorts, and short form stories.
Course Type: Studio Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person CORE42 MOTR Number - Name: MOTR PERF 107 - Introduction to Filmmaking Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will write the video treatments and scripts.
CLO 2) Students will identify proper shooting techniques of source material required for various types of projects, including camera usage and coverage of scenes.
CLO 3) Students will demonstrate technical aspects of acquisition including frames per second, resolution, slo-motion and color settings.
CLO 4) Students will import and export video into non-linear edit systems including specific formats and compression schemes for broadcast and internal distribution.
CLO 5) Students will implement methodology for video editing including timing, reaction edits, rhythmic edits, montage edits, interview/dialogue scenes, action scenes, and b-roll usage as well as basic effects including color grading, tilting, and audio mixing.
CLO 6) Students will recognize proper timeline setup, usage of editing tools, and shortcut usage in video editing software.
