CAD 107 - Introduction to Revit 3 Credit(s)
Learning of introductory elements of the latest version of Revit CAD software. Acquisition of Building Information Modeling (BIM) knowledge. Perspectives on shared user design utilized in commercial architecture. Perform drawing designs using Revit for floor plans, elevations, sections, and rendering. Perform building estimates and schedules, and construction document sets.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will navigate the Revit user interface.
CLO 2) Students will recognize the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
CLO 3) Students will create basic architectural elements such as floors, walls, doors, windows, ceilings, and roofs using fundamental Revit modeling tools.
CLO 4) Students will implement appropriate workflows to complete modeling tasks within Revit.
CLO 5) Students will organize building information by managing materials and cataloging data using schedules for accurate representation and documentation.
CLO 6) Students will develop a complete 3D architectural model and associated presentation-level construction documentation (e.g., floor plans, sections, elevations) as part of a semester-long project.
