CPM 230 - Social Media Marketing 3 Credit(s)
Examines how to develop an effective startegy for communicating to a targeted audience using the accelerated tools available in an online market. Will touch on the use of Social Media, Email Marketing, Blogging, SEO and PPC advertisements to create engagement. It will also cover the use of Google Analytics to track performance.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Online Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will analyze information on historical trends related to the use of social media, including how increased popularity and community options expanded usage and the skills required by employers.
CLO 2) Students will implement the technical aspects of Social Media, including copywriting and search engine optimization techniques to increase opportunities for engagement.
CLO 3) Students will create multimedia content and a content plan based on targeted demographics and ideal engagement opportunities for a business or brand.
CLO 4) Students will analyze and implement the value of headlines and how to use keywords and emotional intelligence to impact advertising performance.
CLO 5) Students will describe the demographics, features, and best uses for the more common Social Media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Instagram.
CLO 6) Students will summarize the benefits of data analytics provided by the various communities and describe how they interact with website data collected to provide a complete analysis of digital conversations to improve overall performance.
