CPM 240 - Web Development Process 3 Credit(s)
Introduction to techniques used develop Web sites. Emphasis is placed on the Web project lifecycle and client-side or frontend web site development for business. Topics include wireframes, prototypes, pages, tables, forms, media asset linking, technology stacks, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SEO, CMS, and hosting. A variety of industry standard free and proprietary tools and software are utilized.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote, Flex Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will create discovery deliverables such as user personas and journey maps.
CLO 2) Students will define technology stacks and sitemaps and create wireframes.
CLO 3) Students will assemble design assets and create mockups or prototypes.
CLO 4) Students will use HTML, CSS, & JS frontend frameworks to develop responsive and accessible websites.
CLO 5) Students will create tables, forms, and interactive content using current standard practices.
CLO 6) Students will perform delivery functions such as code validation, functional & user testing, and search engine optimization (SEO) and identify maintenance activities such as version control, content management, backups, and upgrades.
