CPM 120 - Intro to Multimedia (Adobe Creative Cloud) 3 Credit(s)
Multimedia refers to computer-based applications that allow for the communication of ideas and information with digital and print elements. Introduction to current multimedia topics, technologies and techniques using current Microsoft Windows based on software applications. Computer literacy, including the understanding of file format, file structure and file storage, is required.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Online, Hybrid Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will investigate the fundamentals of using the computer to develop multimedia presentations including software applications and hardware considerations.
CLO 2) Students will practice the tools for multimedia production.
CLO 3) Students will identify the various file types of sound, video, graphics, animations, and how to use them effectively in presentations.
CLO 4) Students will discuss copyright laws as it applies to multimedia presentations and web sites.
CLO 5) Students will plan and design a multimedia presentation including storyboards, scripts, and flowcharts.
