CPT 135 - Programming Fundamentals with Python 4 Credit(s)
Introduction to programing languages using Python, a newer and simpler language designed to be easier to learn. Python teaches basic skills used in more complex languages such as Java or C++. Students will learn problem-solving methods and proper programming technique and structure, as well as design complex algorithms using pseudocode and flowcharting.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Online, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will create error-free projects using well-designed algorithms and solid programming techniques.
CLO 2) Students will demonstrate an understanding of basic programming concepts by passing chapter quizzes with a minimum of 75%.
CLO 3) Students will demonstrate an understanding of programming in Python and programming techniques through passing a midterm and final exam with a minimum score of 75%.
CLO 4) Students will demonstrate a logical approach to computer programming by creating appropriate pseudocode and flowcharts.
