CUL 150 - World Cuisine 3 Credit(s)
Students will explore global cultures through the local foods and food preparation techniques native to the different regions of the world. Students prepare authentic dishes of these regions while uncovering the traditions, history, and geography that shape each region’s food customs.
Prereqs: CUL 190 with a grade of “C” or better Course Type: Combo Tuition Tier: Tier II Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will identify core ingredients and specialty equipment used to produce a wide variety of global cuisines.
CLO 2) Students will create dishes using appropriate knowledge of recipes, techniques, and culinary practices of global cultures/cuisine.
CLO 3) Students will analyze the relationship between climate, economics, religion, geography and the food people eat.
