Introduction to basic economic decision-making at both micro and macro levels. Overview of topics relating to aggregate economic activity and to individual economic activity of households and firms.

CLO 2) Students will describe and identify the potential production of the United States economy and its effect on income distribution.
CLO 3) Students will apply the concepts of supply and demand to explain the dynamic of the markets.
CLO 4) Students will construct the theoretical explanations behind the supply and demand. Introduces the notion of market strategy and how firms operate in different market structures as perfect competition and monopoly.
CLO 5) Students will define and recognize how to measure macroeconomic variables.
CLO 6) Students will explain and evaluate the impact on different macroeconomic variables the effect of macroeconomic policy or the business cycle.
