Introduction to determination of aggregate measures of economic activity, price level, employment and national output. Topics include inflation, unemployment and economic growth; money and banking system; and formulation of fiscal and monetary policies in pursuit of economic stabilization.

CLO 2) Students will explain and illustrate how economists use models and theories regarding the allocation of resources in a market economy.
CLO 3) Students will elaborate on the theoretical reasoning concerning benefits and costs of international trade.
CLO 4) Students will explain how GDP, Unemployment, and Inflation are measured, comparing and contrasting the tradeoff between unemployment and inflation from a macroeconomic perspective.
CLO 5) Students will identify economic variables for both economic growth in the long-run and the short-run fluctuations.
