ENG 200 - Book Writing Workshop

Student should have excellent writing skills and be proficient in the English language. Skills and methods required to professionally write a fiction or nonfiction book. Students will complete the framework and a minimum of three chapters for possible submission to a publisher.

CLO 1) Students will analyze various styles and approaches to writing long-form narrative fiction and nonfiction.
CLO 2) Students will apply key techniques of effective prose writing, including voice, plot, theme, character development, and narrative structure.
CLO 3) Students will reflect on and revise their own prose to strengthen artistic voice and vision.
CLO 4) Students will evaluate the role and significance of contemporary imaginative prose across genres and cultural contexts.
