Advanced writing of various forms of creative nonfiction, including but not limited to memoir, autobiography, travel writing, lyric and meditative essay, and others, with emphasis on open discussion of student work and individualized critique by instructor and peers.

CLO 2) Students will craft essays in various forms, including autobiography, memoir, travel writing, lyric and meditative essay.
CLO 3) Students will identify the various elements of creative writing significant to nonfiction writing, including plotting, character development, and thematic expression.
CLO 4) Students will respond to drafts of nonfiction with care and attention to the elements of craft that nonfiction writers utilize to tell effective stories.
