Course Learning Outcomes:
CLO 1) Students will articulate a sense of their own identity as writers of science fiction and fantasy.
CLO 2) Students will craft short stories with a sense toward plot, character development, point of view, and setting.
CLO 3) Students will articulate an understanding of the minutiae, trends in, and qualitative differences between forms of genre writing including science fiction, fantasy, and surrealism.
CLO 4) Students will respond to drafts of short fiction with care and attention to the elements of craft that fiction writers utilize to tell effective stories.
