EXS 240 - Sport Science Internship 1 Credit(s)
A work-based experience in a fitness or health related facility supervised by a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) professional. Forty-five (45) hours of designated work per credit.
Prereqs: Must complete 9 credits of EXS courses with a grade of C or better, current CPR and AED certification, and permission of the Department. Course Type: Practicum Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply classroom knowledge of risk stratification, fitness assessments and program design safely and effectively in a work environment.CLO 2) Students will accomplish individualized fitness projects related to individual learning objectives. CLO 3) Students will communicate effectively with business/industry personnel. CLO 4) Students will apply human relations skills in the business/industry setting.
