GLC 140 - Celtic History & Contemporary Culture 1-3 Credit(s)
Field course with focus on Celtic political and cultural history from prehistoric to modern times. Experiential approach that combines study tours of various Celtic sites with readings, films, writing assignments, and/or other activities. Specific course objectives, strategies, and evaluation procedures defined in individual learning agreement with instructor.
Course Type: Practicum Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will through journal writings be able to analyze key aspects of Celtic political and cultural history, graded on historical accuracy, depth of reflection,and connection to cultural themes.
CLO 2) Students will be able to identify and explain at least two specific learning experiences that provided insight into Celtic culture in a final reflective activity.
CLO 3) Students will be able to compare and contrast at least three similarities and differences between Celtic culture and another culture in one or more integrated presentations.
