Prereqs: HIM 120 & HIM 121 with a passing grade Co-reqs: HIM 126 Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: Online Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply policies, regulations, standards, and compliance requirements to the management of health information throughout the information life cycle.
CLO 2) Students will identify policies and strategies to achieve data integrity and apply security strategies to health information.
CLO 3) Students will explain the use of classification systems, clinical vocabularies, and nomenclatures.
CLO 4) Students will describe the components of data dictionaries and data sets, summarize standards for health information exchange, and describe consumer engagement activities.
