Students placed in participatory position in a government agency, museum/archives, or community organization. Requires research paper relating to some aspect of the internship.

Prereqs: HIS 101  or HIS 102  with a passing grade and department chair permission

CLO 1) Students will describe their practical work experience with their internship agency.
CLO 2) Students will describe this educational/internship experience apart from the traditional college classroom setting.
CLO 3) Student will investigate potential career options tied to academic interests and receive concrete, first-hand learning opportunities from experts in the career field of their choice.
CLO 4) Student will develop and expand knowledge in a work setting.
CLO 5) Student will improve teamwork and leadership skills, observation and listening skills.
CLO 6) Student will gain an increased awareness of the workplace and the perspectives of others.
