Preparation for penetration testing. Learn how to use ethical hacking skills to conduct a penetration test that will help a company discover and address weaknesses that a hacker may exploit.
Prereqs: IT 171 or instructor permission Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will conduct information gathering, vulnerability scans, and analyze the results.
CLO 2) Students will summarize physical security attacks and exploit OS, application, network, wireless, and web-based vulnerabilities.
CLO 3) Students will escalate privileges and perform post-exploitation techniques.
CLO 4) Students will utilize report writing and handling best practices.
CLO 5) Students will explain recommended mitigation strategies for discovered vulnerabilities.
CLO 6) Students will apply comprehensive security measures to protect systems.
