LGM 210 - Logistics & Supply Chain II ** 3 Credit(s)
Emphasis on mid-level technical knowledge needed to understand the world of supply chain logistics and related core competencies. Includes product receiving, product storage, order processing, packaging, shipment, inventory control, safe handling of hazardous materials, evaluation of transportation modes, custom, and dispatch and tracking operations. Certified Logistics Associate (LGM 101 ) (MSSC) is a prerequisite to taking this course. Prepares students for MSSC/CLT. Includes a required certified exam upon class completion. Students will be awarded the certificate if successful on the exam.
Prereqs: LGM 101 with a passing grade Course Type: Lecture Delivery Method: Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply appropriate vocabulary and terminology used in concepts surrounding receiving products.
CLO 2) Students will explain the systems used in processing orders within the field of logistics.
CLO 3) Students will explain the process of packaging, equipment, labeling and tools used in packaging.
CLO 4) Students will apply appropriate measurement conversions from US to metric.
CLO 5) Students will explain inventory control along with the digital processes that enhance inventory.
