MAT 110 - Industrial Mathematics 3 Credit(s)
Covers mathematical problems designed for career and technical students. Topics include: measurement, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and vectors. These are presented at an introductory level with an emphasis on applications in the trades.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will identify, correctly notate, and interpret mathematical concepts found in industrial applications.
CLO 2) Students will perform calculations involving fractions, integers, exponents, radicals, and percents in various industrial applications.
CLO 3) Students will use various hand tools to accurately measure and perform necessary conversions.
CLO 4) Students will demonstrate proficiency in the use of geometric attributes and trigonometric ratios to solve contextual problems.
