MEC 112 - Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems 3 Credit(s)
Explores practical application of fluid power principles used in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment. Included: basic hydraulic and pneumatic principles and theory, identification of systems components and equipment, interpretation of fluid power symbols and drawings, and the application of fluid power knowledge and skills to industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply fluid power and hydraulic principles.
CLO 2) Students will identify and describe fluid power components such as valves, actuators and pumps and their use in fluid power circuits.
CLO 3) Students will interpret and use fluid power circuits.
CLO 4) Students will describe fluid power control and distribution.
CLO 5) Students will describe and apply pneumatics principles and components.
