MFG 132 - Precision Tools & Measurement ** 3 Credit(s)
Provides the study of basic measuring tools used in manufacturing. This course will provide students with proficiency in using and reading basic measuring devices. Students will have an opportunity to sit for the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Safety module certification test for an additional fee. Students will be awarded the certificate if successful on the exam.

CLO 2) The Student will determine the degree of precision measurement.
CLO 3) The Student will identify various types of precision instruments and their application.
CLO 4) The Student will list maintenance procedures on various types of measuring instruments.
CLO 5) The Student will compute total tolerances of parts.
CLO 6) The Student will apply the basic math functions necessary to gather correct information from the blueprints.
