PHE 220 - Stress Management 3 Credit(s)
Explores the nature of stress and the physiological and psychological effects upon the body due to prolonged stress responses. Short and long term somatic and behavioral techniques for applied stress control (i.e. exercise, nutrition, relaxation, visualization, meditation, goal setting, and time management) will be examined.

CLO 2) Students will describe somatic and behavioral techniques in dealing with stress.
CLO 3) Students will identify the sociological and cultural factors that contribute to, or help manage, stress.
CLO 4) Students will apply stress management techniques through experiential situations.
CLO 5) Students will practice relaxation and engagement techniques.
CLO 6) Students will practice relaxation techniques.
