An introduction to a wide variety of world religious belief systems and practices, as well as the historical-cultural value systems underpinning their various divergent and/or overlapping value systems. Topics include major world religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, among others), as well as various sects and denominations within those religions.

CLO 2) Students will identify and interpret the diversity of human religious expressions by learning how major world religions interact with and influence one another.
CLO 3) Students will analyze and interpret the roles that different cultures, institutions, and beliefs have in shaping individual and collective behavior.
