Non-mathematical introduction to astronomy designed primarily for non-science majors. Topics include the history and cultural impact of astronomy, properties of solar system and stellar structures. Supplemented by occasional hours of evening observation.

CLO 4) Students will diagram our solar system and explain how it relates to the known universe.
CLO 5) Students will describe the basic motions of the solar system and the effects on the earth.
