PSY 210 - Human Growth & Development 3 Credit(s)
Survey of major areas of human growth and behavior through the eight areas of development, including prenatal and concluding with death and dying. Emphasis is on understanding of the important methods, terms, theories, and findings in the field of lifespan psychology. Introduction to areas that psychologists explore and study in better understanding the influences of our human experience.

CLO 2) Students will describe key developmental terms from conception through death in all three domains-physical, cognitive, and socioemotional
CLO 3) Students will examine, evaluate and apply the sociocultural influences on lifespan development from conception to death
CLO 4) Students will demonstrate their ability to critically analyze and apply key developmental concepts in human growth and development to real life situations.
CLO 5) Students will demonstrate knowledge of the scientific method and methods of studying changes over time in human growth and development research
CLO 6) Students will examine and explain the genetic and biological influences on lifespan development
