PSY 240 - Intro to Applied Behavior Analysis 3 Credit(s)
This course is an introduction to applied behavior analysis and the application of behavioral principles and procedures to social challenges. The students will learn about the causes of behavior, basic principles and procedures, and then apply this information to specific content areas or populations.
Prereqs: PSY 101 with a passing grade Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote, Online Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will analyze the theoretical framework of applied behavior analysis.
CLO 2) Students will evaluate behavior assessment techniques and single-subject experimental design methodologies.
CLO 3) Students will recognize how behavior change procedures have been applied across different populations.
CLO 4) Students will identify which features of a behavioral change procedure will make it more likely to be successful.
CLO 5) Students will explain the difference between applying behavior analysis and just using it as a series of interventions.
