CPM 286 - Short Form Video Production (Fiction) 3 Credit(s)
Practical video production course focused on creating short fictional content such as short films, comedic sketches, and fictional content for various distribution channels including social media. Students will prepare for a variety of production roles generating original content or supporting larger productions. Students explore the entire production process, from pre-production through post-production and distribution, for creating fictional content. Hands-on experience with video, audio, lighting, and editing equipment.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will analyze the needs of a fictional video concept.
CLO 2) Students will create pre-production material, such as narrative scripts and storyboards, for a fictional video production.
CLO 3) Students will create video footage.
CLO 4) Students will create additional video assets and effects for inclusion in a video.
CLO 5) Students will create final edited videos.
CLO 6) Students will discuss the technical and legal considerations for the distribution of fictional work.
