Air Conditioning and Refrigeration introduces general air conditioning and refrigeration principles as well as how they are applied in industrial facilities. You will also learn about the operation and maintenance of the individual components and functions of industrial cooling equipment.

CLO 1) Students will use common HVAC-R tools and electrical instruments safely during equipment servicing.
CLO 2) Students will identify the standard components of refrigeration systems and describe the basic refrigeration cycle.
CLO 3) Students will follow proper procedures for handling and managing various refrigerants.
CLO 4) Students will analyze electrical control systems by interpreting schematics and identifying key components.
CLO 5) Students will explain the principles of residential air-conditioning systems, including installation and maintenance.
CLO 6) Students will apply HVAC-R concepts to troubleshoot and maintain commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
