This course teaches testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of commercial refrigeration systems.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply their knowledge of appropriate lab practices, concepts and theories to an operating low temperature walk-in freezer.
CLO 2) Students will follow correct handling practices for various refrigerants.
CLO 3) Students will check proper freezer temperatures, amperage draw on the operating compressor, subcooling and superheat temperatures.
CLO 4) Students will accurately apply, service, and test special refrigeration system components.
CLO 5) Students will accurately service and troubleshoot refrigeration systems using electrical diagrams and schematics specific to commercial refrigeration.
