EGR 201 - Mechanics of Materials Laboratory 1 Credit(s)
This course serves as the laboratory component for Mechanics of Materials. In this course, students will learn how to safely set up, troubleshoot, and measure fundamental material properties using common testing equipment and tools (e.g., strain gauges and calipers). Furthermore, students will interpret and compare experimental data obtained from these tests with analytical predictions to verify the theoretical concepts discussed in the accompanying lecture.
Co-reqs: EGR 200 Course Type: Lab Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will perform the setup, troubleshooting, and measurement of fundamental material properties using common material testing equipment and tools.
CLO 2) Students will compare experimental data from material tests to analytical predictions based on the theories discussed in lecture.
