BUS 125 - Introduction to Project Management 3 Credit(s)
This course will introduce the students to the basic principles of Project Management. The students will be taught foundational skills such as stakeholder management, schedule development and control, cost estimation and budgeting, and quality management. Students will also gain practical experience using standard tools like Earned Value Analysis and learning techniques for collecting, validating, and controlling Project Scope.
Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will categorize project stakeholders based on their level of influence and interest.
CLO 2) Students will construct a project schedule using industry-standard sequencing techniques.
CLO 3) Students will formulate a project budget by aggregating individual resource cost estimates.
CLO 4) Students will calculate project performance metrics using Earned Value Analysis (EVA) formulas.
CLO 5) Students will create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to define the project scope.
CLO 6) Students will evaluate project variances to determine necessary corrective actions for scope, cost, or quality.
