MPL 101 - Music Private Lesson (30 Minutes) 1 Credit(s)
This course is an individual 30-minute music lesson culminating in a solo performance. This course includes meetings, lessons, plus a jury/final performance. Enrollment is restricted to students pursuing a degree in the performing arts.
Prereqs: Must currently be pursuing a degree in the performing arts and have departmental permission. Course Type: Private Lesson Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will use standard notation and performance vocabulary in rehearsals.
CLO 2) Students will apply mechanical techniques to improve accuracy and tone.
CLO 3) Students will interpret stylistic elements in performance with guidance.
CLO 4) Students will summarize relevant historical and cultural influences on repertoire.
